As a pioneer in this area, KIBLAF has worked with leading international law firms to protect Vietnam’s industries in anti-dumping cases against US government and European Commission. Recently, KIBLAF has been known for its significant contribution in the anti-dumping shrimp lawsuit estimated several million dollars’ worth. In such case, KIBLAF represented local lawyers along with Vinson & Elkins LLP, an international organization based in Washington DC, in representing Vietnamese shrimp companies and Vietnam Government in the process of investigating and reviewing US Chamber of Commerce proceeded procedures against importing frozen shrimp from 6 countries, including Vietnam. Together with Vietnam’s Ministry of Trade, the Competition Administration Department and the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters, KIBLAF has supported organizing of a number of trade seminars on comparative law and customs on trade punishment and anti-dumping.
